James J. Sexton
/Since founding the firm in 2001, James J. Sexton’s skills as a trial lawyer and courtroom advocate have rapidly thrust him into the forefront of the New York State family law bar.
Described by some as a "compassionate and dedicated advocate" and by others as a "courtroom gunslinger," Sexton has captured the attention of the New York legal community and the results he obtains for his clients, in the courtroom and at the negotiating table, speak for themselves. Sexton has intentionally focused his practice on divorce and family law since his graduation Fordham Law School.
Known for his intense focus and discipline, Sexton wakes up at 4:00am every day (including weekends) so he can return emails and contemplate his next move in the "chess match" of your divorce.
Sexton resides in Manhattan where, in his limited free time, he enjoys yoga and training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a member of the Marcelo Garcia Academy (NYC).
Colin J. Dunnigan
Since joining the firm in 2013, Colin J. Dunnigan has established himself as a talented and tenacious advocate both in and out of the courtroom. He has litigated complex matrimonial and custody matters in twelve counties in the State of New York on behalf of the firm and has earned the trust and respect of the bench and bar.
While Dunnigan works hard to achieve favorable results for the firm’s clients without need for judicial intervention he has established a reputation as an attorney who is comfortable and skilled “on trial”. His reputation as a fierce “courtroom lawyer” has, with increasing frequency in recent years, led to favorable settlement without need for trial.
Colin resides in Dutchess County with his wife and three children. When he isn’t cross examining witnesses and writing complex motions he can usually be found in his backyard, playing with his kids or tending to his garden.
